The Downtown Chamber Series; July 2011

August 3, 2011

Event

Once again I had the great pleasure the photograph The Downtown Chamber Series (DCS) last week, and this time we were at a new location hosted by the Phoenix Art Museum! In case you’re not aware of DCS, these are musicians from the Phoenix Symphony who volunteer their time to play chamber music in interesting spaces around Phoenix where there is also plenty of art to enjoy. The concerts are always very intimate and popular so you’ll want to keep tabs on tickets and purchase them in advance if you can. Check out their website for upcoming concert info and to purchase tickets!  http://downtownchamberseries.org/Index.html BTW, the $10 concert ticket also covered the museum entrance.

Here is an excerpt I have copy/pasted from their site giving details about last weeks performances….

I know, I took way too many photos of the piano, but I couldn’t help myself, there were way too many cool angles to capture in this scene!

I really loved how the bass player’s whole body was always showing how intense he was playing.  They were all pretty intense, such great music!

If you have to ask what this piece of art is then you need to go to the Phoenix Art Museum to discover it yourself.

Like after any party, it turned quiet and everyone left, happy and content.
