On a Saturday when the weather was still gorgeous outside I was graced with an afternoon photographing both Rachel and Julian. We put on some music that kept our smiles ongoing, mixed with good humor, and an excellent shooting session. Here are some of the results, enjoy!
In the left photo above I added some processing to give the image that old film look. I really liked Julian’s outfit and its fit with the 50’s chair.
My ringflash is a great light. It’s circular in shape and the camera fits inside of it, the end result is an even shadow everywhere. I added an overly bright hair light to pop them out a little more.
Rachel poses for a more traditional portrait freshened up with modern colors and textures.
I love the variety black and white offers. If you look closely, the two images above are not entirely black and white, but are slightly blue. The two images below contain blues and yellows very subtly, but creating an interesting effect.
Versatile sepia tones add wamth to black and whites.
