Ed came to me looking for some fresh shots for a few needs. The studio portrait was a given, but we also did a few location shoots to capture both formal and casual looks. I ALWAYS photograph corporate portraits with strobed lighting. You can see the difference in quality and the depth of the image. It may appear bright outdoors, but in many of these instances the background would be completely blank white (no background or too bright). Another problem is blue light from the sky mixing with warmer toned light reflecting off the environment is unflattering to your natural skin tones.
